Holly Bell runner up in the Great British Bake off has now taught her first cup cake decorating at Caffe Crema @ Alma Park.
We had some childrens classes in the day with an age range from 5 to 16. The children made some amazing decorations which they went on to decorate their cakes with. I have to say that they were pretty impressive and you really would not have known that some of the cakes were decorated by such young artists. Even when piping the buttercream onto the cakes you would not have guessed their ages. Well done children, we look forward to welcoming the next group, the date is to be arranged but is likely to be in the Summer Holidays.
In the evening the adults arrived for their more intense but equally enjoyable evening. They were greeted with a glass of prossecco and some delicious canapes which they enjoyed in the Coffee Lounge Caffe Crema. Here they were able to chat with Holly and each other before starting their lesson in the main Conference room at alma park. They all spent an hour or so making some delicious edible decorations being taught the tricks of the trade by Holly.
More delicious canapes and fizz were then served in Caffe Crema before returning to learn more skills on piping buttercream onto the lovely cakes. What can I say?Everybody had a lovely evening with some good company, fine food and wine and took home some scrummy cakes decorated by themselves.
